2023-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: doors could remain closed in certain circumstances
In July 2025, recall campaign 25S65 was issued for 2023-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Due to a software issue, if the occupants exited the driver and/or front passenger doors using the interior mechanical release handles when the 12 volt battery was discharged and the doors were in “lock” status, the doors could remain locked when they were closed again. If this occurred, the key fob, interior and exterior door handles would not unlock the doors. An occupant who remained inside a locked vehicle and was unable to use an inside door release handle may not be able to exit or be retrieved from the vehicle, posing a risk of injury or death. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006386.
